We, at Calvary Protestant, believe in the power of prayer.
Prayer, and the reading of God's Word, are two of the most important
tools by which we may lead a Christian life.
Prayer is the soul's sincere desire, uttered or unexpressed;
The motion of a hidden fire, that trembles in the breast.
Prayer is the simplest form of speech that infant lips can try;
Prayer, the sublimest strains that reach the Majesty of high.
Nor prayer is made by man alone: the Holy Spirit pleads;
And Jesus, on the eternal Throne, for sinners intercedes.
O Thou by whom we come to God - the Life, the Truth, the Way!
The path of prayer Thyself hast trod; Lord, teach us how to pray.

Pray for the President and his team as they continue working to
strengthen freedom and peace around the world. As significant gains
have been made in Afghanistan, Palestinian territories, Ukraine and
most recently, Iraq, pray that those newly elected will be burdened
to work for the greatest good of the people they serve, and that
God's wisdom and values will guide them.
